Everyone can participate in the conversation and share their thoughts on a public platform, ultimately, helping to reshape the dynamics of public discourse. Leveraging the bicom team&#8217;s genuine fascination with YouTube&#8217;s video essays (or, dare we say, rabbit holes) and mild reliance on TikTok, we&#8217;ve dissected insights into five core values of Gen Z.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h4><b style=\"font-size: 1.5rem;\">Gen Z\u2019s values :<\/b><\/h4>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fitting in<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contrary to popular belief, Gen Zs deeply desire to fit in. Although it\u2019s easier than ever to express your individuality,\u00a0 the ever-growing list of labels, trends, and aesthetics showcases the need to constantly \u2018\u2019fit\u2019\u2019 into an ideal image.\u00a0 With its algorithmic precision, platforms like TikTok intensify the pressure to project a carefully curated image<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our era&#8217;s pop culture labeled a &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/study.com\/academy\/lesson\/culture-industry-overview-theory-influences.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">culture industry<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; by cultural analyst, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Theodor_W._Adorno\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Theodor Adorno<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, consistently pumps out micro-trends, contributing to constant over-analysis, categorization, praise, rejection, and ultimately, applause. No wonder Gen Zs have the highest level of anxiety!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Truth &amp; Expertise<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As perhaps the most ad-bombarded generation, Gen Z\u2019 has gained an eye for empty claims. In a sea of influencer-approved products &amp; services, they are more likely to turn to experts\u2019 opinions, made easily available through the internet, to pick and choose which products they want to use their purchasing power on. Despite the desire to fit in,\u00a0 Gen Z\u00a0 values fact-checking which has been developed through their continuous exposure to sponsored online content. The ability to discern genuine expertise from deceptive marketing tactics has become integral to their consumer journey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Class-consciousness<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gone are the days of aspiring to multi-million-dollar mansions and super-yachts. Gen Zs appreciates class consciousness, valuing social and economic awareness in our globally interconnected era. This generation recognizes and seeks to address socioeconomic disparities on both individual and community levels, actively engaging in conversations, advocating for justice, and supporting businesses championing ethical practices and social responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Convenience<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Often misinterpreted as \u201claziness\u201d or \u201cimpatience\u201d, the preference for convenience has become one of Gen Z\u2019s cherished values. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icsc.com\/uploads\/about\/2023ICSC_Gen_Z_Report.pdf\">According to\u00a0 ICSC<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, nearly half of them (48%) say they would pay a premium to have online orders delivered quickly.
